A unique HOGE competence is often engaged by historical societies, heritage groups and others dedicated to preserving vestiges of the past. The company applies it's expertise in wood and it's manufacturing experience to the art of restoring historical structures. So often the enormity of structural members falls outside the capability of conventional lumber suppliers. HOGE is also employed for their ability to match new members to existing members in terms of configuration and wood surface properties assuring unity of design, purpose and appearance.
